Peel Environmental has, for almost 20 years, been actively involved in the mineral extraction and waste management sectors.
As these industries have evolved over time through technological and regulatory change the company’s emphasis has changed with them to include new and innovative developments across the board in the mineral extraction and waste management sectors.
Having had a firm base in landfill developments for many years, the company has expanded its waste management activities into recycling, composting and other sustainable waste management operations.
The company is promoting the development of a number of “Resource Recovery Parks” – modern, clean and sustainable industrial parks providing specialist industrial space for the environmental technologies sector.
With the benefit of owning transport infrastructure such as railways and the Manchester Ship Canal, Peel is also committed to promoting an Integrated Waste Management Strategy for the Manchester and Mersey Corridor Sub-Region, comprising a network of waste management facilities linked by multi-modal transport options.
The company has a number of mineral extraction interests including sand and gravel and hard rock quarries, peat extraction sites and secondary aggregate operations.
The company is continually seeking opportunities within both the existing Peel property portfolio and third party ownerships and is well placed in terms of both expertise and resources to deliver projects either independently or as Joint Venture partners. |
